In order for our customers to get the most out of their inflatable custom-engineered seals, they need to be installed properly. We have a few resources to assist you with your installation.
How to Properly Install an Inflatable Seal
We recommend that all of our inflatable seals use a retaining system in order to assist customers. Seal Master retaining systems are designed to perfectly complement the inflatable rubber product we create them for.
Retaining systems help hold seals in place during operation. By providing seals a stable platform and reliable duty cycle, you can ensure your inflatable seals are protected from damage and perform to their optimum level.
With our snap-in retainers, we recommend using an aid such as a popsicle stick or another device that will not damage it. Start by locating the inflation stem and installing that into the cut out on the retainer for the stem.
Seal Master also recommends installing the inflatable seal evenly, by then installing a portion 180 degrees across from the inflation stem. Continue dividing the seal up so the load is divided evenly.
By evenly distributing the load of the seal, you can reduce any potential stress areas in the seal. This will allow your seal to last the maximum length of time and perform as you expect it to.
