About Our Seals
Inflatable seals and other products from Seal Master are designed to inflate and deflate to their original shape upon introduction of an inflation medium, typically regulated air. When the seal is deflated it can provide freedom of movement of multiple surfaces. But when it is inflated, it can be used in a variety of ways such as providing an environmental barrier between two different areas.
But our seals are not simple extrusions. Each one is custom built and fully-molded specifically for your unique application in order to ensure optimum performance and durability over millions of duty cycles.
Why Reinforce with Fabric?
By using fabric reinforcement in our seals, each one is provided with strength and structural integrity for longer life compared to other methods. Our fabrics offer reinforcement for elastomers for maximum strength when the product is fully inflated. Likewise, the material also allows for the seal to properly return to form when it is deflated. We use a variety of fabrics in each one of our seals such as Dacron, Kevlar, Nomex, and Nylon to name a few.
